英文摘要: The online supermarket “No. 1 Store” was established in 2008, and awarded as “China’s fastest growing comprehensive e-commerce website”. From the very beginning, the No.1 Store has no hesitation to build its own logistics network. However, managers of No. 1 Store suffer a lot of troubles during the company’s fast development, since a series of problems in relate to the supply chain operation have shown up. When “the capacity of the supply chain cannot afford the demand of order processing”, it is impossible to solve the problem simply through expanding the warehouse capacity and adding human resources and materials. The most urgent task is to optimize the operation of the whole supply chain from the source. Our case study aims to introduce the current situation of the company’s supply chain management, focus on figuring out the “bottleneck” of the supply chain operation, and propose the optimization ideas. In this way, we try to examine the supply chain problems facing Chinese B2C e-commerce companies in depth, and further explore the supply chain optimization ideas and implement strategies that can be applied to Chinese B2C e-commerce enterprises.
